Fine Arts Museum of Valenciennes

Interesting
Here, the central figure is of course Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux, his work being exhibited in a large section of the museum. However, for all that, the Flemish, represented by the enigmatic Jerôme Bosch, Jordaens, Pourbus and Rubens are not to be missed. French 18C painting showcases the two Watteau canvases. History and landscape painters illustrate the 19C, before you come to the archaeological crypt.
