Maison de la Beurière

Interesting
This folk museum is housed in one of the last period buildings (1870) still standing in the former seamen's neighbourhood, once known as "la Beurière", which was almost completely destroyed by Allied bombs during the Second World War. You can see the living quarters of a seaman and his family around 1900, comprising 30m2 for around 15 people: Flemish furniture, stove, religious objects, fishing tackle, display devoted to daily life and to the seamen's dialect and customs, media library revealing Boulogne at the time of the Belle Époque.
