Musée des Beaux-Arts de Nantes

The galleries of the city's fine arts museum provide a journey through the history of painting from the 13C to the present day. Of particular note are three 19C works by Ingres, Courbet and Delacroix, the rooms dedicated to Impressionism and Fauvism, and a unique collection of works by Kandinsky (Bauhaus period). Four contemporary art rooms focus on local artists (Martin Barré and François Morellet), New Realism and the Support/Surface group.
