Château de Brézé

Recommended
As you look at Europe's deepest dry moat, be prepared to discover an amazing secret. Don't miss the (other) entrance, hidden in an alcove between two walls in the heart of the village. This elegant Renaissance château remodelled in 1850 by Anjou architect Hodé features a main building, a gallery and entrance protected by two round towers, laid out around a courtyard. A tour of the private apartments will reveal fine furniture and period 19C decoration.
