Rue Longue des Capucins

The aromas of spices and freshly roasted coffee, olives, anchovies, herbs and spices, dried fruits and curios all vie for attention on the stalls lining this narrow street assailed in the morning by the crowds, who sometimes start bartering in this atmosphere which serves as a reminder that Marseille was for a long time nicknamed "Gateway to the East".
