Mer de Glace (Sea of Ice)

Highly recommended
14 km long, at a minimum altitude of 1700 m, it's the best known and hence the most appreciated by tourists, of the three great with glaciers in the Massif. From the upper station of the Montenvers railway, you will find an extraordinary scene made up of the glacier the Dru obelisks and the Green Needle and as a backdrop the Grandes Jourasses.
