Pont de Cour

A group in bronze by Sansom depict the Geneva naturalist Horace Bénédict de Saussure and Jacques Balmat. The naturalist offered a reward to the one who first reached the summit. It was Balmat to achieve this accompanied by Dr Michel-Gabriel Paccard. Saussure himself succeeded in the ascent the following year.
