Gorges de la Bourne

Highly recommended
After Pont-en-Royans, the D 531 enters the gorge and follows the river, widening slightly before Choranche. After Choranche, the valley narrows again and the road climbs up the steep north bank. On the southern face of the valley stands the rounded grey-brown rock face of the Cirque du Bournillon, with its opening into the cave. The road also takes you very close to another cave famous for its stalactites: Coufin cave.
