Recommended
Dedicated to Auguste and his wife Livie, this temple looks like a copy the Maison Carrée in Nîmes. Its facade, made up of a row of six columns which support the entablature, dominated the Forum. It was transformed into a church in the Middle Ages. Dduring the Revolution, it was dedicated to the worship of the goddess of Reason. Before being restored under the aegis of Prosper Mérimée. It was used as court, then as a museum and later a library.
