Roanne
The Essential
The town has preserved some remnants of its old splendour and has regained its prosperity after the opening of the canal linking it to Digoin (1838). There was also the textile industry development which is still famous today. Gourmands will sample a tasty cuisine and trippers will appreciate the proximity of the Loire gorges.
