Champagny-en-Vanoise The Essential
Recommended
Separated by deep gorges, Champagny-le-Bas and Champagny-le-Haut have turned out very differently. The first, easily accessible, is a lively village with links to the ski resorts of La Plagne et Les Arcs. The second, in a secret little valley amid magnificent high mountain pastures enclosed by the Grande Casse, comprises two preserved hamlets. This little spot in the Tarentaise valley is also one of five points of access to Vanoise National Park, home to Alpine ibex and beloved of hikers.
