Fécamp The Essential
Interesting
Fécamp was the longtime "capital" of the French cod-fishing Newfoundlanders. Between Le Havre and Dieppe, with which it cannot compete, the port is orienting itself increasingly towards the pleasure boating, in particular with the recent creation of a dry port, the first of its kind in Haute Normandie. The town, designated a "Ville d'art et d'histoire", also has plenty for tourists, such as lovely beach and a landmark fishery museum, the Musée des Pêcheries.
