St Joseph's Church, Le Havre

Recommended
A masterpiece by Auguste Perret, the Église St-Joseph, which resembles a cathedral, is the result of a collaboration between the architect and Marguerite Huré. This stained-glass artist dreamed up the partition of the natural light by incorporating some 12 700 coloured glass panes into the façade and the 107m high bell tower. The interior, treated with a striking economy of means, is grandiose.
