Münsterplatz

South of the church are various buildings originally raised to the glory of the town and Church, such as the Archbishop's Palace with its fine wrought-iron balcony, and the Historisches Kaufhaus. This Gothic house of merchants in red roughcast, flanked by watchtowers with pointed roofs and decorated with glazed tiles, adds a highly picturesque medieval note to the square. Another splendid feature of the square is the Wentzingerhaus, which houses a history museum.
