Museum of Archaeology of Tübingen

Interesting
Hohentübingen castle houses the Museum of Archaeology. The pre- and proto-history department displays many fascinating items such as a tiny ivory horse from the Vogelherd grotto. The museum also contains outstanding exhibits from Classical Antiquity, Ancient Egypt and the East. Note in particular the religious chamber from a tomb dating from the Old Kingdom and completely covered in bas-relief sculptures.
