Weinheim The Essential
Raised to the rank of a city in 1264, Weinheim was long the residence of local burghers before progressively becoming, in the early 19C, the administrative centre it is today. The former castle, today's town hall, boasts an English-style garden and Germany's tallest cedar. Visit the exotic forest, laid out in the 19C, and the ruins of the Windeck fortress and the Wachenburg castle.
