Abbey Buildings of Ottobeuren

The abbey buildings were built between 1711 and 1731. In the abbatial palace the usual state apartments are to be found, such as the Emperor's Hall, with its painted ceiling depicting the coronation of Charlemagne. Also see the magnificent library and theatre.
