Sanssouci Palace

Highly recommended
The main staircase leading to this palace provides visitors with an impressive view of its façade fronted by terraces. The rear façade facing the main courtyard is flanked by a semicircular colonnade. Inside the palace, the rooms have been skilfully decorated in rich Rococo style. In the bedroom and study, admire Frederick II's desk and the armchair in which he died. The concert hall is a masterpiece of Prussian Rococo and was the king's favourite room. With large French windows opening onto a terrace, the marble room once hosted "philosophical round tables".
