The castle of Rheinsberg on the banks of the Grienericksee was a residence of Frederick the Great, who lived here for several years, in the company of "enlightened minds". The castle served as the setting for one of the love stories by novelist Kurt Tucholsky. It will embark the visitor on a voyage back to the 18C thanks to the restoration work, period furnishings and art. Be sure to tour the grounds, landscaped according to plans by Knobelsdorff.
