Rostock History Museum

Interesting
The former Cistercian convent, founded in 1270 by Danish Queen Margarethe, is the only edifice of its type remaining in Germany. Comprised of a brick Gothic church with three naves, it is exquisitely harmonious. In addition to medieval religious art, illustrated by the Altarpiece of the Three Kings (late 15C), among others, the museum highlights the major pieces of substantial art and craft collections held by the convent.
