Château d'Anholt

Surrounded by 34ha landscaped grounds and restored Baroque gardens, this moated castle has a main section and a fore castle (12C-17C). The museum exhibits three centuries of royal home décor: a collection of paintings (Rembrandt, Brueghel, Murillo), tapestries, furniture, porcelain and weapons. Worth seeing inside are the wide oak staircase, the room of knights with its gallery of ancestors, and the reception room decorated with Flemish tapestries.
