Mosel Valley

Highly recommended
From Trier to Koblenz, the Moselle Valley winds its way past hilly slopes covered in vineyards. The region is renowned for its white wines, most of which are made from the Riesling grape variety. You may like to taste the local wine in the Bernkastel-Kues wine cellars, before continuing to Marienburg convent or Reichburg convent in Cochem. The itinerary then takes in the ultimate in romantic castles, Burg Eltz before finishing in Koblenz where the Moselle and the Rhine meet.
