Old Town

Interesting
The Old Town of Corfu is best explored on foot. That way, you can take in the narrow streets where washing is hung out to dry, the little paved squares resembling theatre sets, the elegant churches, and the tall arcaded houses of Venetian origin. Don't miss the small Byzantine Museum, which contains mainly icons. Odos Donzelot, a street lined with handsome houses that once belonged to ship-owners, leads down to the square and the quayside of the old port, where ferries set off for Igoumenitsa and Paxos.
