Archaeological Museum of Thessalonica

Highly recommended
The Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki boasts one of Greece's richest collections. Built in 1962 by Patroclos Karantinos, the architecture of the building reflects the introspection of Ancient Greek houses. The permanent collections present the history of Macedonia, from prehistoric to Roman times; they exhibit objects from the sites of Macedonia and Thrace, including, in particular, a few masterpieces, such as the Derveni krater.
