Archaeological Museum

Highly recommended
The Archaeological Museum of Olympia, which houses almost all of the artefacts discovered on the site, is one of the country's finest. Among the masterpieces of Classical art, don't miss the famous Hermes of Praxiteles. Sculpted in Parian marble (4C BC), Hermes carries the infant Dionysos. You will also see reconstructions of the two pediments from the Temple of Zeus, the colossal Head of Hera, and a remarkable Zeus abducting Ganymede.
