Kastoria The Essential
Recommended
Located near Albania and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM), Kastoria has a distinctly Balkan character. Take a walk through its maze of sloping little streets, which always lead to the lake. But Kastoria really comes into its own at night, when crowds invade the café terraces. And perhaps you will come across the odd group of Russians, who come in droves to buy furs, a speciality from which the town made its fortune.
