Storno House

Originally dating from the 15C, the house was rebuilt in the 18C in the Baroque style. King Matthias stayed here in 1482 and the musician Franz Liszt in 1820 and 1881. Today, apart from an exhibition on Sopron from the 16C to the present day, the house displays part of the Storno inheritance, giving an idea of the 19C middle class. The Stornos were a family of Italian immigrants who restored many buildings and monuments in the region.
