Vatnajökull National Park
Established in 2008, Vatnajökull National Park is the largest nature park in Europe (12 000km2). Laid out around its vast eponymous glacier, it encompasses the ancient parks of Skaftafell and Jökulsárgljúfur. It is under this glacier that Iceland's hotspot, Grímsvötn volcano, is located. A stunning landscape of craters, basalt columns and waterfalls.
