Saint Francis' convent (Couvent Saint-François)

Interesting
It was in this monastery made up of 13C buildings and attached to a rocky overhang that Saint Francis started the tradition of the Nativity crib. The chapel of the crib is decorated with frescoes from the Giotto school. On the upper floor you can aslo see the place where the Saint lived in addition to the early church which dates back to 1228 and which has preserved its original furnishings.
