Laguna veneta

Interesting
Separated by the high waters of the Adriatic by a narrow sandy strip of lidi bordered by Chioggia to the west and Trieste to the east, Venice's lagoon is a fragile natural ecosystem subject to tides, storms and silting. While the tides bring new life to the lagoon by renewing its water, they also threaten Venice and the MOSE system designed to regulate them. Take a boat trip to fully get a feel of the lagoon's ambience, stopping at Burano, Murano or Torcello on the way.
