Square of the Little Lions

This little square is bordered on the left by Saint Mark's Basilica and owes its name to the lions sculpted out of red marble from Verona by Giovanni Bonazza in 1722. It is the site of the Ateneo San Basso, a former church which stages concerts by the Virtuosi di Venezia: Vivaldi is naturally enough regularly on the programme.
