A portico and chapels line the Viale X Giugno up to the top of the hill where the Baroque basilica stands crowned with a dome. The sacristy contains one of Veronese's most famous Last suppers, Last supper with Saint Gregory the Great. From the forecourt, the panoramic view over Vicenza, the Venetian plain and the Alps is superb. A small road allows you to explore the Monti Berici, pleasant volcanic hills sprinkled with patrician villas which have today been converted into farms.
