San Giovanni Evangelista

This Renaissance building with a Baroque facade must be seen for the frescoes in the dome, created by Correggio, on the subject of the Vision of St John at Patmos and of the Conversion of the Evangelist. Those in the arches of the left-hand side chapels are from the Parma School. The Renaissance cloisters of the next-door convent are open to the public.
