Castello Sforzesco

Highly recommended
Forming a huge quadrilateral, this impressive castle was once home to the dukes of Milan (the Sforza) and now houses the municipal art collection, divided into various sections. Its masterpieces include the 14C funerary monument of Bernabò Visconti, the recumbent statue of Gaston de Foix, and the Pietà Rondanini, Michelangelo's last unfinished work: a must-see! The art gallery and the museum of musical instruments are worth taking in.
