Church of San Lorenzo

Interesting
To the left of the royal palace, San Lorenzo Church is the first monument in Turin by Guarino Guarini, commissioned by the court of Savoy. A masterpiece of European Baroque, the octagonal church, lavishly adorned with polychrome marble, features an extraordinary ribbed dome which allows the light to filter through stone lacework.
