Temple of the Concorde (Tempio della Concordia)

Highly recommended
The temple, which has been kept intact, dates from 430 AD. but we forget the person to whom it was consecrated. This is a great example of optical illusion. The columns become narrower at the top to make them appear larger but have a bulge two thirds of the way up to counter the narrowing effect... hence they appear to be vertical. The temple is named Concorde after a Latin inscription found near the temple. No one knew what the inscription referred to, so they the gave the temple this name.
