Taormina Castle

On the summit of Monte Tauro (reached by car or on foot up a staircase path, the salita Castello, or the salita Branco (highly ill-advised by foot in summer), all that remains of this medieval fortress today are some ramparts and the remains of a tower. But the view over Taormina and its theatre is truly spectacular!
