Petralia Soprana The Essential
This charming village is the highest in the Madonie mountains, at an altitude of 1 147m. Petralia Soprana has retained its medieval character, with narrow streets lined with austere palazzi and churches built of local stone, which occasionally open out into picturesque squares adorned with fountains. The village also boasts some fine viewpoints, such as the belvedere near Piazza del Popolo which offers a breathtaking view of Enna.
