Pescia
Pescia The Essential
Founded in the 12C, Pescia nestles at the foothills of the Apennines on the road from Lucca to Pistoia. Nowadays, the town's main claim to fame is its thriving horticultural trade and vast flower market, which attracts wholesalers from all over Europe. It also hosts a Biennial Flower Show with magnificent displays of cut flowers and ornamental plants. Although not as well known for its architecture, the town has nonetheless retained several interesting medieval monuments.
