Aldobrandeschi Fortress

Little remains of the fortress built in the Middle Ages by the Aldobrandeschi, a prominent Florentine family, also known as the Aldobrandini. From the esplanade above the outer wall, climb up the steps and admire the panoramic view over the Orcia Valley and Monte Amiata.
