Ca' d'Oro

Highly recommended
Although stripped of the ornamentation from which it derives its names (oro means gold), this delicate, floral, Gothic creation is nonetheless stunning, both in terms of its facade and its interior. Above the magnificent mosaic-paved inner courtyard, Galleria Franchetti has a fine St Sebastian by Mantegna, as well as works by Venetian masters of the likes of Antonio Vivarini, Carpaccio, Tintoretto, Tiziano and Francesco Guardi.
