Church of the Holy Spirit

Interesting
Built in an early Baroque style, the Church of the Holy Spirit is the country's foremost place of Orthodox worship. You enter through the neo-Byzantine monastery portal. It was designed by Jan Krzysztof Glaubitz between 1749 and 1753. The interior is made up of vaults and pink, blue and white columns, against which a peppermint-green Baroque altar (18C) serving as an iconostasis stands out. The crypt holds the bodies of three saints (John, Anthony, and Eustathios), 14C martyrs.
