Fries Museum / Verzetsmuseum

Recommended
This museum occupies two historic houses: the Eysingahuis (late 18C) and the impressive Chancellerie (Kanselarij, 1566). Its varied collections illustrate Friesian culture, history and art: remains from archaeological excavations, objects and photos relating to the Second World War, costumes, furniture, gold and silverware, porcelain, paintings. The museum has one of the most attractive and richest collections of goldware in the Netherlands.
