Bevrijdingsmuseum 1944 Rijk van Nijmegen

This museum occupies the precise spot where Division General James M Gavin landed on 17 September 1944 with his 82 parachute troopers. Original films, photographs and models illustrate the events. The names of the 1 800 American soldiers who died at Nijmegen are recorded on the Roll of Honour.
