St.-Janskathedraal

Recommended
Built between 1380 and 1530 in the Gothic Brabant style, the cathedral was restored from the 19C onwards. (up until 1985). Its sheer size and its bright and richly decorated appearance make this one of the Netherlands' most beautiful religious buildings. The interior exhibits some wonderful workmanship, including frescoes from the 15C, furniture, a "Renaissance organ case", stained glass windows, retables (a beautiful retable from the 16C in Saint Anthony's Chapel), and funerarary stones decorating the floor.
