Blue Bridge (Blauwbrug)

Built by Springer and Greef for the International Exhibition of 1883, this bridge is decorated with sculptures on a marine theme. The crown of Maximilian I graces the top of the lamp-standards. The Blue Bridge, contrary to received wisdom, is not a replica the Alexander III bridge in Paris, since the latter was only built in 1900.
