Claes Claesz. Hofje

This picturesque Hofje (sanctuary or retreat), dating from 1616, was formerly a hospice. It owes its name to Claes Claesz Anslo, an Anabaptist draper. Originally consisting of three courtyards, today there is a fourth, embellished with its so-called "lion" fountain.
