Stock Exchange (Beurs)

Interesting
This building, erected in 1903, is the work of Berlage, the pioneer of Dutch modern architecture. Its has an austere brick exterior. Since 1987, this former stock exchange has been an arts centre, hosting a string of exhibitions, conferences and concerts. A guided tour (in English) gives visitors a glimpse behind the scenes and an overview of the history of trading in the Netherlands.
