Teylers Museum

Interesting
This museum, the oldest in the Netherlands (1779), was created thanks to the legacy of P. Teyler van der Hulst, a Haarlem manufacturer of broadcloth and silk goods (18C). Its beautiful rooms, which preserve the charm of the past (Oval Zaal), house varied collections including fossils and minerals, physics instruments, drawings (Dutch masters, Italian school), paintings (Romanticism, The Hague school), and Dutch medallions.
