Buyskensklooster

This early C15 building reveals its exposed brick walls. Formerly the convent of St Agnes, it housed the order of the Soeurs de la Vie Commune, who observed the rules set down by Geert Groote. The building currently houses the town archives (Stadsarchieven) at no. 3 as well as a library (Stads- of Athenaeumbibliotheek), where some interesting book and manuscript exhibitions are held.
